Privacy
Last updated: October 15, 2026
This policy explains what personal data Octal Labs (“we”, “us”) collects through octal-labs.io, why we collect it, and the choices you have. It is short because we collect little: no advertising, no tracking across websites, and no cookies of our own.
1. Personal data we collect
Information you give us. When you request a call through our contact form, we receive your name, work email, company, job title, company size, country and anything you write in the optional message field. If you write to us by email, we receive your email address and your message.
Information collected automatically. When you visit the site, our hosting provider processes the technical data needed to deliver it: IP address, date and time, the page requested, the referring page, and browser and operating system. We also use cookieless analytics that count visits and pages viewed without identifying you or following you to other websites.
2. How we use it
- to reply to your request and arrange a call;
- to run, secure and improve the website;
- to comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell personal data and do not use it for advertising.
3. Legal bases for visitors in the EEA, UK and Switzerland
We handle contact requests to take steps you ask for before a possible engagement (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). We operate, secure and measure the website on the basis of our legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR), and we keep records where the law requires it (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR).
4. Who we share it with
Only with service providers that process data on our behalf and under our instructions:
- Vercel Inc., for hosting and analytics;
- Resend, for delivering contact form requests to our inbox;
- our email provider, for our correspondence with you.
We may also disclose data where the law requires it, to protect our rights, or to a successor in a merger or acquisition, who would remain bound by this policy.
5. Cookies
We do not set cookies or similar tracking technologies. Our analytics work without cookies, and our fonts are served from our own domain.
6. Retention
We keep contact requests for as long as we need them to handle your request and any conversation that follows, then delete them unless the law requires us to keep them longer. Technical server logs are kept by our hosting provider for a short period only.
7. Security
The site is served over an encrypted connection, and access to personal data is limited to the people who need it to answer you.
8. International transfers
We are based in the United States, and our service providers process data in the United States. For data from the EEA, UK and Switzerland, transfers rely on recognized safeguards, such as our providers’ certification under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you can ask us to access, correct or delete your personal data, to restrict or object to its use, or to receive a copy of it. If you are in the EEA, UK or Switzerland, you can also complain to your data protection authority. If you are a California resident, you have the right to know, correct and delete your personal information; we do not sell or share it.
10. Children
This site is meant for businesses and is not directed at children under 16.
11. Changes to this policy
